A new battle has begun! Join us for the our Second Annual Battle for the Buckle Series and earn DOUBLE points. The Buckle Series will be a 3 match competition for shoots on December, January, and March. There is no entry fee, however you MUST join California Peacekeepers prior to your first shoot to be eligible. The shoot at Farmington, Iowa on November 2nd will be our first shoot of the 2020 season!! River Valley Lodge and Campground at Farmington has an outdoor arena and a covered arena if it is raining. Registration closes at 11:00 am on Saturday. Match begins at Noon, with shotgun to follow. If you are unable to sign up online contact Lu Wagner at (563) 370-2533. On Saturday night we will be having our 2019 banquet. It will be a potluck supper that all are welcome to attend. Who can come up with the BEST costume? Its time to have some FUN! The Best dressed Horse/Rider will get a free main match entry for the State Championships. The best dressed Wrangler will get a free wrangler entry to the State Championships. Best Dressed DUO will get a free stall for the State Championships. Last Years costumes were very creative. If you are not in a costume, you must wear approved CMSA attire.

Join us for our first match of the 2020 season. Saturday we will be honoring Sara Bell's father, Capt. Michael Bell, of the Farmington, ME fire department, who lost his life in the line of duty on September 16. CMSA has approved the Northeast Six Shooter's memorial red long sleeved shirt for competition for this day only, so please wear yours! (CMSA regulation dress, otherwise). There will be no payback winnings, but the proceeds will instead be donated to the Farmington Fireman's Benevolent Association. This weekend's matches will be a NH-MA "Border War", earning state points each day for residents of both.

The second day of the NM/CO Chile Challenge, (for those of us that can still ride) starts with Cowboy Church at 8, and the main match starting right after the riders meeting at 9. We take our Chile raising very seriously here in the Land of Entrapment and we ain't taking this lying down.
