A few months back the governor of Colorado (who apparently was partaking of his states #4 cash crop) told the world that people preferred Colorado Green Chili to New Mexico Green Chile!

I Know right!?! He said that out loud!

Well in New Mexico my friends, those are fightin' words. We take our Chile raising very seriously here in the Land of Entrapment and we ain't taking this lying down. We'll put our peppers up against all comers right here in Socorro New Mexico and Colorado better be prepared to put their chili where their mouth is.
So here's what we're gonna do. Since we have a really nice arena, and some really great balloon setters and a big ole box of ammo, we'll start by having a four stage double points shoot, with Rifle and Shotgun and clean shooter 3D, and more! Starting Saturday at 10am right after the riders meeting. Now don't be thinking that you have to be from New Mexico or Colorado to come play! We are welcoming everyone that wants to have some rootin tootin mounted shootin fun, CMSA Style of course, to come join us.

Then Saturday evening were going to tantalize your taste buds with the first ever New Mexico/Colorado Chile Challenge Chili cook off.
All types of Chile dishes are welcome and we're going to let anyone in that has a BURNING desire to put their best dish forward (and again you don't have to be from NM or Co, but you will have to declare which side you're on!) The challenge will be open to the public and the top dishes from each side will be chosen by the people in a blind taste test. Then the Top Dish from NM and the Top Dish from Colorado will go Chile to Chile, Head to Head, Mano y Mano and the winner will be chosen by are panel of expert judges to determine which state brought forth the best Green Chile in the World!

This shoot will feature at least $1500.00 in prize money! That'll buy a lot of chile!! Check back often for more prizes and cash!
