Description

Rex Portman at the Diamond P Ranch in West Yellowstone Montana has invited the Wyoming Desperados to host a mounted shoot, hopefully to become a yearly event. He has generously guaranteed $3000.00 added money. He is also going to serve up his famous sourdough pancakes (free with main match entry) Wednesday evening, there will also be Dutch Oven fare and entertainment provided. He will also send you on a guided trail ride to the top of the Continental Divide (top of the world) Friday morning if you like (your horse or his). West Yellowstone is a wonderful little tourist town with much to offer!! The Treasure State CMSA will host a match the following weekend in nearby Ennis, with a minimum of $1000 added money and other surprises - what a super mini vacation. If you have never seen this beautiful part of the world, you won't want to miss out.
This will be a 2 day, 6 stage DWPQ, Wednesday and Thursday August 5th & 6th. Wednesday 9:30 Rider's Meeting, 10:00 Grand Entry, stages 1-4, Eliminator to follow. There will be a Celebrity Shootout and Quick Draw Competition Wednesday evening. Thursday 9:00 a.m., stages 5 & 6, Rifle and shotgun to follow. Clean shooter jackpot in main match. Time Only- $7.50 WD members, $10 others. If not entered in main match you must be a CMSA member and pay a $20 arena fee.
No Electric hookups and pens are limited. Outdoor pens are $10.00/night/horse. Call Albert to reserve yours - 307-202-0793. Plenty of room to dry camp, portable pens ok and both are free.
