*NEW FOR 2014 Nebraska State Fair - EQUINE CHECK-IN TRAILER!
All Equine exhibitors must go to the Equine Check-In Trailer to have Health Certificates (CVI) and Coggins papers checked.
Exhibitors who pre-register will pick up their tickets and parking passes for entry onto the grounds at the Check-In Trailer. Exhibitors who did not have to pre-register will also purchase all entry tickets and parking passes at the Check-In Trailer. No passes will be sold in the Horse Show Office.
The Check-In Trailer will be located on Stuhr Road, (east side) across from the Fairgrounds. Following your visit to the Check-In Trailer, you will proceed to Gate 9 (on Stuhr Road) for entry to the Fairgrounds. You will not be able to enter Gate 9 without a ticket, vehicle pass and having your Health Papers checked and stamped. The Check-In Trailer will open at 6:00 am daily. Closing times will be posted on the StateFair.org website. If the Check-In Trailer is closed when you arrive, you must remain at the trailer until it is opened. You will not be allowed entry onto the Fairgrounds without a stamped CVI.
1.) Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) - CVIs are valid for 30 days
*Please note: both IN-State and OUT-of-State Equines will require the same paperwork and testing
NOTICE: CVI Health Papers MUST State Destination as: Nebraska State Fair
All animals exhibited must be accompanied by a CVI. All animals exhibited shall be individually identified on the CVI. CVIs must list the respective exhibition as consignee. CVI's will be returned to out-of-state exhibitors only and can be picked up at the Horse Show offices.
You may not use Health Papers issued for another event or destination to gain entry onto The Nebraska State Fairgrounds. If Equine Health Papers do not state Nebraska State Fair as the destination, the Equine Veterinarian is required to issue you new, current Health Papers. The fees for the exam and issue of Health Papers will need to be paid immediately to examining veterinarian.
If no health certificate (CVI) is shown, exhibitors may go get a health certificate from their veterinarian or have the veterinarian on site issue new ones. All Veterinarian Fees are at the discretion of the veterinarian on duty and are required to be paid at the time of service. All exhibitors without correct Health Papers will be held at the Check-In Trailer.
2.) A negative test of EIA (coggins) within 365 days of entry for all horses.
If no Coggins papers are shown, exhibitors will be denied entry onto the Nebraska State Fairgrounds.
3.) NOTICE: "Due to the increase in EHV-1 (Rhino) cases, the Nebraska State Fair is requiring ALL horses that enter the grounds be vaccinated for EHV-1 at least TWO to THREE weeks prior to the Fair. The date of vaccination needs to be written on the CVI."
REMINDER - All Equine Exhibitors who have pre-ordered passes and exhibitor tickets will pick those up upon entering the Check-In Trailer. You may also purchase tickets and parking passes at the Check-In Trailer at time of check in. There will be no admission to the Fairgrounds without a ticket or parking
