We are going back to the Points for Practice format. All of our winter shoots will be 4 Stage Main Match and 2X CMSA points. Because they are CMSA shoots you must be a current CMSA member to enter and you will be able to enter online which is very much appreciated by the office. However, they are for practice and have a lower entry fee so there will be no main match payback. For the buckle series we will use the same CMT points tracking system that we have in the past. You must be a member of Colorado Mounted Thunder to have points tracked and points will still be tracked by horse and rider team. The 3D is based on an equal 1/3 split of the overall results (top 1/3=1D, middle 1/3=2D, and bottom 1/3=3D). This means that all of the placings in each D receive the same number of points which makes it anybody's game! You do not have to enter the 3D jackpot to have points tracked! We will track points over our 5 winter shoots from November to March and buckles will go to the High Point Cowboy and Cowgirl. Also new this year we will award buckles to the High Point Senior Cowboy and Cowgirl! As we have done in the past, every time you enter a winter series shoot your name goes into a drawing for an entry to both our Colorado State and Mid-Mountain Regional Championships. We will give away buckles and hold the drawing at our last practice in March. Office will open at 8:30am, close at 9:30am, riders meeting 9:45am, shoot starts at 10:00am. Main Match Entry - $65 (includes barn fee) Wrangler Entry - $15 (includes barn fee) 3D Jackpot (optional) $20 - 100% payback, the 3D is based on an equal 1/3 split of the overall results (top 1/3=1D, middle 1/3=2D, and bottom 1/3=3D). Clean Shoot Jackpot (optional) $10 - 100% payback, the total pot is divided equally among the clean shooters in the Main Match. Clean means Clean, no penalties of any kind including missed balloons, knocked over barrels, procedurals, etc. Time Only's - $10/run shooting, $5/run non-shooting Barn Fee $10 - anyone who is horseback but is not entered in the main match pays the barn fee. (i.e. not entered, 4 shooting time only runs and barn fee = $50 or not entered, no time only runs, setting balloons horseback = $10) We will be setting balloons on horseback so bring your young or new horses along with your neighbors and friends and get them going!
