The 2026 Virginia State Fair is here! Come join us for a weekend of shooting, fun and excitement for the whole family as we show off for the crowd at the State Fair of Virginia, located at Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia! This is most exciting event of the year, with Jackpot Stages and added MONEY!!!!

In addition, we will be hosting 2 VA/MD Border Wars shoots, one on Friday and 1 on Saturday for a total of 5 stages.

Friday September 25 - 2 Stage Border Wars Shoot #1(Limit 75 shooters)
2:30-5:00pm- Registration
6:00 - Main Match, First Shot Fired

Saturday September 26 - VA/MD Border Wars Shoot #2 - 3 Stages (Limit 90 Shooters)
7-8am- Registration
9am- Main Match First shot, 3 stages
6:00 pm - State Fair Showcase Event ($1000 Added Money) - Border Wars Rifle and Shotgun Stages 1 & 2 will be run followed by Top 10 shooters from each Division A, AA, and AAA non gender split.

Jackpot Stages will be offered both Saturday and Sunday (times from stage 1 and 3) for an additional $10 per day. Payout to Division A, AA, AAA winners

Sunday September 27- 2026 VA State Fair Shoot - 3 Stages (Limit 90 shooters)
7:30-8am- Registration
8am- Cowboy Church
9am- Calvary, followed by 3 stage VA/MD Border Wars Main Match


Fee Schedule
Friday $55 Entry Fee, $40 Office Fee
Saturday $65 Entry Fee, $40 Office Fee, Jackpot $10
Sunday $65 Entry Fee, $40 Office Fee, Jackpot $10
Wrangler- $30 Friday, $35 Saturday/Sunday
Clean Shooter $10
Rifle, SG and Cavalry- $60
Stalls $80 (includes 2 bags of shavings). Extra shavings $9 per bag
Haul In Fee- $10 per day, per horse.

Stalls for the weekend, move in Friday, checkout Sunday. $40 for extra night (Thursday night ONLY). 1st Virginia must be off the grounds by 6pm Sunday.

Dry camping only (at no charge) is being offered and will be set up in the large gravel lot on your right as you pull into the facility at Gate 6 (there will be a white bathhouse on the left as you pull through the gate, the gravel lot is on the right)

We are limited to 75 entries Friday Night and 90 entries for the Saturday and Sunday. Each entry will include 1 parking pass and 2, 3-day admission passes to the fair.

You MUST provide a copy of current Coggins before competing. You can email that to the club prior to Friday September 25th or bring a copy and provide at registration. If you are traveling from out of the state of Virginia, you must also provide Heath Certificates, these can also be emailed prior to September 25th. Email to cmsa1stvirginia@gmail.com.

All dogs MUST be on a leash, per Meadow Event Park. If your dog is observed not on a leash, you will be asked to leave by Meadow Event Park Staff.
