Description

Come join 1st VA CMSA and the Mason Dixon Deputies for our 2026 Border Wars. On Friday we will have a 2-stage warm-up shoot. Saturday will be the first 3 stages of the Border Wars followed by rifle and shotgun. Sunday will start with Cavalry followed by the final 2 main match stages.
Our event will take place at the beautiful Meadow Event Park, Doswell, Virginia, Home of Secretariat

Points from both border war matches on Friday and Sat/Sunday count for 1st Va CMSA and Mason Dixon Deputies, VA & MD state, and Mid-Atlantic Region points.

We will be shooting under the covered Arena and will have a large warm-up arena open available.

50% payback for the weekend.

Registration
Friday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Saturday from 7:00am to 8:00am

Friday
5:00pm - Border Wars Warm up shoot - 2 stages
Go Order Friday will be (SL1, L1, SM1, M1...) Wranglers will be end of 1, beginning of 2

Saturday
9:00am - Main Match 1st shot - First 3 stages of Border Wars followed by Rifle and Shotgun.
Go Order for ALL 5 stages will be (SL1, L1, SM1, M1...) Wranglers will be end of 1, beginning of 2, beginning of 3
Open Wranglers will shoot immediately following Stage 3
7:00pm - 1st Virginia will host a Shrimp Boil for all riders and their families.
We will also be hosting a 3-Gun Challenge as well as Tie Dye fun for the kids. Check Facebook for additional details on all activities.

Sunday
8:00am Cowboy church (under the covered arena).
9:00am Cavalry followed by stages 5 & 6 of Border Wars. Wranglers will be end of 5, beginning of 6
Awards approx. 30 mins after last shot.
FEES
Friday $40 Office Fee, $55 Entry (wranglers - $30)
Saturday/Sunday shoot $40 Office Fee, $120 Entry (Wrangler $40)
Clean shooter $10
Shotgun $60
Rifle $60
Cavalry $60
Demo's will be offered Sat/Sun only. $20 per stage or 5 for $80. Prepayment is required at registration.

Stall- $80 (weekend check in Fri- check out Sun) $40 extra night per horse
2 bags of shavings will be provided with each stall -- Extra Shavings $9 per bag
RV- $80 (weekend check in Fri- check out Sun) $40 extra night (First come, first serve)

*** Please contact Becky Monger at 540-435-7766 to reserve stalls/RV. Please also let her know if you will be arriving early or need extra shavings. ***IF YOU ARE STAYING OVER SUNDAY NIGHT, LET THE OFFICE KNOW AT REGISTRATION.
Dry camping or empty trailer parking is available and will be set up in the large gravel lot on your right as you pull into the facility (there will be a white bathhouse on the left as you pull through the gate, the gravel lot is on the right)

All dogs MUST always be on a leash ALWAYS. This is strongly enforced by Meadow Event Park. Dogs must have current rabies vaccine.
