Saturday Shootout and Sunday Shootout (5X the Points Each)
The Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center is located in Powhatan, Virginia, and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Virginia organization. At Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center, they are united by their compassion and dedication to providing therapeutic horseback riding for veterans with special needs and disabilities. Their programs are designed to improve the muscle tone, balance, and mobility of physically disabled Veterans while providing mental stimulation, enhanced self-confidence, and self-esteem.
Our event will take place at the beautiful Meadow Event Park, Doswell, Virginia, Home of Secretariat (13191 Dawn Blvd. Doswell VA 23047, Gate #6). We will be shooting under the covered Arena and will always have a large warm-up arena open.
Saturday - A minimum of $5,000 added Money and 5X's the points. $2,000 will be added to the Main Match Saturday and $3,000 will be added to the Showcase Saturday night.
Sunday - A minimum of $5000 will be added to Main Match
Main Match Payback- Circuit 50% with 30% Overall Payback.
Buckles for Overall Cowboy and overall Cowgirl as well as Overall Sr. Cowboy/Cowgirl.

Mounted Shooting mini-Clinic hosted by Jessica Flores - 9-11:00am Levels 1-3, 12pm-2:00pm Levels 4-6, Contact Jessica Flores at 443-880-2002 for details and to register. $175 fee. Pre-registration required.
4:00pm - Cavalry, Rifle and Shotgun

Saturday- 7/12 - Lonesome Dove Benefit Shoot (4 stages)
7:30am to 8:30am- Main Arena open
8:30am- Main Arena will close
8:45am- Safety Meeting
9am- Main Match first shot of our 4 stage Main Match.
Note: If the outdoor arena cannot be used due to rain, the shoot will cut to 3 stages. The practice arena is not covered.
Saturday night Showcase
6:00pm- Flag Ceremony
1-stage shoot-out. The Top 2 Limited and Top 2 Open Wranglers, followed by the top 10 riders from stages 1 & 2 Saturday for each Division (A, AA & AAA) to ride for the minimum, $3,000 added money. (non-gender split).

Live Auction. All proceeds will benefit Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center. If interested in Donating for the Live or Silent auction, please contact Becky Monger.
There will also be a Silent Auction set up all weekend and the bidding will close after the Showcase Saturday night at 9:00pm
Sunday-7/12 Where Veterans Ride Again shoot (4 stages)
7:30-8:00- Arena Open for warms ups
8am- Cowboy Church (arena closed)
9am- 4 stage Main Match - Note: If the outdoor arena cannot be used due to rain, the shoot will cut to 3 stages.

Ground Fee- $40

Clean Shooter- $10- 100% payback
Demo's- $60 per day
Stall- $80 (weekend) $40 extra night per horse- 2 bags of shavings will be provided with each stall -- Extra Shavings $9 per bag
RV- $75 (weekend check in Fri- check out Sun) $35 extra night (First come, first serve). If staying over Sunday night you must leave facility by 7am Monday morning.
Note: Extra shaving requests for the weekend must be requested through the office starting at 5:00pm on Friday.
***To reserve stalls/RV, please contact Becky Monger at 540-435-7766 to reserve. Please also let her know if you will be arriving early or need extra shavings.
Dry camping is available in the large gravel lot ONLY located on your right as you pull into the facility (there will be a white bathhouse on the left as you pull through the gate, the gravel lot is on the right).
* Absolutely NO parking/dropping empty trailers in the area in front of the Barn
All dogs MUST be on a leash always, per Meadow Event Park.
