IS HOT AGAIN! RECORDS ARE FALLING!

Once again the Lazy E has produced the fastest footing, proven by not one but THREE new CMSA World Record times. In the first round of the Colt Eliminator on the Cross Over Double Rundown (Course #51) the standing record of 10.725, set by Chad Little, had stood since 2008 and looked to be pretty secure, until younger brother Charlie Little’s 10.678. A SUPER fast time that may stand for many years to come.

Round Two of the Eliminator saw more records fall, when the smoke cleared, Course #32, recently introduced as a CMSA Certified Course, with the initial records being set at the Jeffers National Championship by Chad Little (13.718) and Natalie Johnson (14.343).

Both men’s and ladies records were broken. Jessie Kuka captured the new record for the ladies with a fast and smooth 13.897 . Repeating as a World Record setter at the Lazy E, Cody Clark torched the previous record by nearly a full second, scoring a clean 12.880!

ANOTHER WORLD RECORD

The total jump to FOUR new world records set at the Lazy E! And it would have been FIVE.

In one of the most exciting Colt Eliminator Finals in the long history of that event, Charlie Little had the time to break into the 10 second bracket on the Wedge (Course # 24) with a 10.956, but a missed balloon kept him from capturing another record. Shifarrah Carr opened the final round with an 11.628, just .118 from the previous record of 11.510 set by Kenda. Jessie Kuka followed with an 11.153, just .033 from the previous record. Then came the hottest team in mounted shooting, Lieutenant Justin and Kenda Lenseigne. Chasing another Colt Eliminator title, another World Record and the thrill of victory! Every other run of the night one could have found some small place where rider or horse made some misstep, some minor out of time movement or miscommunication… that was NOT the case with this run. If you missed it in person you can see it here – MOUNTED SHOOTING PERFECTION! 11.486! WOW! That’s about all there is to say about that.
